Objectives of the day

This event introduces the concept of Africa–Curaçao economic and trade cooperation and initiates a structured process for building it. It a preparatory and brain-storming policy development with the objective of paving the way to:

• Promote awareness of business and investment opportunities between Africa and Curaçao
• Facilitate dialogue between policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs
• Identify sectors where mutually beneficial partnerships can emerge
• Encourage Curaçao’s positioning as a Caribbean hub for African trade and investment
• Lay the groundwork for longer-term initiatives that strengthen economic cooperation

Within this context, the session will

• Identify interested and potential trade and economic actors, and in consultation with them, 
• Set out the strategy for launching the Africa–Curaçao Business Forum and network

As focus areas, the forum will explore opportunities in sectors such as:

• Logistics and distributive trade
• Tourism and cultural industries
• Agro-products and specialty goods
• Technology and digital services
• Investment and real estate development
